I know this place!! It used to be Willy’s Waffle Works. Man, how I miss Willy’s.

Mesh-back trucker caps were stapled to the ceiling, the specials on the chalkboard were always misspelled–Lake Pearch being my favorite–and there were tons of Christian trucker magazines laying around.

    Oh, and waffles….mmmmm waffles…

Thank you! I love it when I get identification. Doesn’t happen often. 🙂

You’re making me really hungry with all this talk of waffles.

So when was it Willy’s? Recently?

I don’t think it has been Willy’s for quite some time. It had changed hands before 1999, of that I am certain–probably several years before that…

And despite the inherent scariness of Willy’s, the waffles were Really Really good.
