Now that’s a Super Duper sign! I’ d love to see a night pic of it lit-up, that is, if they actually bother to still light it up at night. Most of the cool old neons around here get illuminated from below by a couple cheapo spotlights stuck in the ground. That’s cheating you know!
And the other good thing about night shots is that you don’t get all the lousy powerlines slicing up the blue skies in the background… I always find this the most frustrating part when trying to compose my own shots.
I don’t think they do light it up at night. And yes, hitting it with a spotlight is cheating!
I don’t mind powerlines. For one thing, they often make interesting lines and shapes, and for another, I figure they’ll all be underground within my lifetime, so they’re one of the things I’m documenting.
