Liberty

West Liberty, Ohio

Three years ago, I dated a handsome young man from Bellefontaine. One pretty Saturday, he took me on a drive through Bellefontaine and West Liberty, and then on a tour of the Piatt Castles. We stopped at the ice cream parlor across Rt. 68 from here, and stopped at the gas station here to fill up. I remember this ghost ad from that day; I took this a couple of weeks ago from the parking lot of the aforementioned gas station. I was surprised that nothing’s changed. The ice cream parlor’s still there, everything.

It’s only been three years so I probably shouldn’t be surprised, but since I can’t tell you how many things I’ve shot (or worse, driven by thinking “I should go shoot that sometime”) that were gone the next time I passed by, I am.

He’s not still there though. He’s been in Iraq for over a year now.
