No Open Fires Or Burning

September 25, 2009

That’s what the little sign says. This was taken after serious rain in Portsmouth, Ohio; there was at least one highway exit halfway under water with the road it led to completely submerged, and the baseball park the submerged road led to was also half drowned. Ohio River + Scioto River + lots of heavy rain = ark time.

Right now, I’m sitting here with all the windows open, listening to the rain. It’s good sleeping weather.

My rain wish came true! It looked like it was going to again tonight, but sadly, no. You’re still having summer weather?

    Still!

You can see that the trees want to go gold/brown and finally shed those leaves, but that warm air keeps persuading them otherwise.

It’ll all end in months of rain though, I’m sure x
