Five

I’m late, though that’s no shock. I honestly thought AEAE turned five on the 22nd, but it was the 19th. Whoops!

I started AEAE back in 2006 when I was still brand new to learning photography, but I knew I loved it, and there was all this great music I loved that I wanted to share. I was unemployed, taking a ton of pictures every day when I wasn’t looking for work, and needed something to do. Blogspot was free and had a hot pink layout, and suddenly I found myself with a blog.

I know I don’t post nearly so much as I feel I should, but I can’t imagine pulling the plug yet. I can’t imagine not having this place, especially come October, though my contributions to the Countdown this year might be kind of sparse. I think I’ve exhausted everything remotely spooky for three hours’ drive!

I know I’ve also not been the greatest about commenting on my friends’ blogs, but rest assured, I come by and read and see how you’re doing. I just usually have nothing intelligent to add to the discussions, though I am still so happy to see that everyone else is still going strong as well. (Davy – love the new look.) I am thankful for every one of you who’s been a regular over the years and has encouraged me. You guys are the best.

I’ll keep stumbling along here for as long as I can, and wishing you all well with your own blogs, no matter how much radio silence it seems like I’m maintaining.
