Cemetery Gate

This cemetery is in an interesting place: it’s “Beard-Green Cemetery,” and it is deep within Dawes Arboretum. It long predates the arboretum/grounds of the Dawes family home. As the Dawes family has a small cemetery in which they buried their own on the property, not far from the former family home, it is one of two cemeteries on the grounds. Beard-Green Cemetery is the resting place of, among many other people, six Revolutionary War soldiers.
