One More Day!

October 30, 2010

Normally, I save up a bunch of videos for Halloween itself, but I have something planned for tomorrow, so today is video day.

Why on earth am I posting a Star Trek: The Next Generation clip for Halloween? Because let me tell you something about this clip: Holy Mary, Mother of God. This is the grossest, goriest thing that any incarnation of Trek ever did. This is a series where mostly, the worst act of violence is somebody getting stunned after several verbal warnings. I will never, never, never forget watching this episode first run. It was at the end of the first season, and I think it left everyone who was watching wondering where the hell the series was going to go from here.

Warning: no lie, this is pretty gruesome.

And then there’s this bike safety video for children, filmed in the ’60s. Sounds as safe and sweet as milk and cookies, right? It’s quite disturbing. It’s called One Got Fat. Enjoy!

And then there’s this amusing tale (Rabbit, directed by Run Wrake), told in a manner similar to a children’s book; it’s worth watching every moment of.

And finally, just because I can infect you with an earworm, enjoy the ever-popular silver shamrock commercial.

I imagine Stewart’s thinking “And then… all her clothes fall off?”
